How we handle what you tell us.

1. 01Who we are

   Synapse Digital is the registered business name of Darryn Wade Hume (ABN 42 268 797 234), a sole trader offering performance marketing, practical AI implementation, and non-financial cryptocurrency guidance. Work is billed from a foundational hourly rate in Australian dollars, with defined jobs quoted up front where we can.

   This website (https://synapsedigital.au) and the services described on it are operated from Queensland, Australia. We do not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence. Cryptocurrency guidance is educational and operational only.

2. 02What we collect

   When you enquire, we collect the details you choose to give us: name, email address, contact number, company (if provided), the practice you are asking about, and the content of your message.

   If we work together, we may also hold the information needed to do the job — briefs, account access you grant, campaign data, operational notes, invoices, and correspondence. We only ask for what the engagement requires.

   We do not ask for cryptocurrency seed phrases, private keys, or custody of assets. Do not send them. If you send them anyway, we will not use them and we will ask you to rotate them.

   We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, and the other categories in the Privacy Act) unless you volunteer it and it is necessary for the work. Please do not include it in an enquiry.

3. 03How we collect it

   Most information comes from you: the enquiry form, email, calls, and the materials you provide during an engagement.

   If you grant access to advertising accounts, analytics, inboxes or other systems, we will see whatever those systems show while we are doing the work. That access is yours to give and to revoke.

   The website is hosted by a third-party provider. That provider may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, as part of running and securing the site.

4. 04Why we collect it

   We use personal information to respond to enquiries, quote and perform engagements, invoice, keep records we are required to keep, and improve how the practice is run.

   We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it. We do not use it to train public AI models.

   We may use AI tools as part of an AI implementation engagement, on your instruction, against the systems and content you authorise. That is work for you — not a licence for us to reuse your data elsewhere.

5. 05Who we disclose it to

   We disclose information only where it is reasonably necessary: to you and people you nominate; to contractors or tools used to deliver the work (for example hosting, email, Zoho CRM and Zoho Books, invoicing, or advertising platforms you already use); to professional advisers; or where Australian law requires it.

   Media platforms, analytics tools and software you already operate remain under your accounts. We do not take those relationships over unless a written engagement says so.

6. 06Overseas disclosure

   The website and some tools used to run the practice are provided by companies that store or process data outside Australia. If you submit an enquiry or we correspond by email, your information may be handled in those locations.

   We take reasonable steps to deal with reputable providers. We cannot control every overseas law that might apply to a host or platform.

7. 07Cookies and local storage

   This site uses only what is needed to function: for example remembering a form you just submitted on this device. We do not currently run advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

   If that changes, this policy will be updated before any marketing cookies are used to identify you.

8. 08Security and retention

   We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission is completely secure.

   We keep enquiry and engagement records for as long as needed to do the work, handle follow-up, and meet tax and legal record-keeping duties, then we destroy or de-identify them when they are no longer required.

9. 09Access, correction and complaints

   You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Send the request through the enquiry form on this website, marked for privacy.

   If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we will try to resolve it. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

10. 10Changes

    We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always sit at this address, with the date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you have had a chance to read it.
